Alphabet Q3 Earnings, Revenue Increase

Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) reported Q3 earnings late Tuesday of $1.55 per diluted share, up from $1.06 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.45.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $76.69 billion, up from $69.09 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ projected $75.75 billion.
