CFRA Maintains Hold Opinion On Shares Of Intel Corp.

CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows: We trim our 12-month target to $45 from $50, on P/E of 18.8x our ’25 EPS view, near peers/above historical. We adjust our ’24 EPS to $1.45 from $1.94 and ’25 to $2.40 from $2.69. INTC posts Q4 EPS of $0.54 vs. $0.15, beating the $0.45 consensus. Revenue rose 10%, above our view, as growth in Client Computing (+33%) was partly offset by declines in Data Center and AI (-10%) as well as Network and Edge (-24%). Gross margin expanded 5 percentage points to 48.8%, on cost efficiencies and improving utilization. Soft Q1 sales/margin guide ($12.7B/44.5% at mid-point; consensus at $14.2B/45.1%) reflects greater-than-expected seasonality as well as PSG/Mobileye/foundry weakness, but we think competitive pressures/wallet share loss remain a major issue within data center servers. We like prospects

Intel Has Tough Road Ahead, Needham Says

On the heels of Intel’s tepid 1Q sales guidance, Needham downgrades shares of the chip maker to hold from buy. In a research note, Needham says Intel’s current elevated valuation, reduced revenue estimates, increasing competition in core and non-core markets and distant Intel Foundry Services revenue contributions are all setting up for a more difficult road ahead. Needham says that even after Intel’s after-hours selloff, its valuation topping 20x the firm’s reduced 2025 EPS estimate isn’t compelling compared to faster growing AI peers. Intel down more than 9% premarket to $44.69.

Intel Has A Tough Road Ahead: What 4 Analysts Think Of Q4 Earnings, Guidance

Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC) shares tanked in early trading on Friday, despite the company reporting stronger-than-expected sales and earnings for its fourth quarter. The results came amid an exciting earnings season. Here are some key analyst takeaways from the release. Needham On Intel Analyst Quinn Bolton downgraded the rating from Buy to Hold. Intel unexpectedly reset its first-quarter earnings guidance and its core data center segment continues to face challenges, Bolton said in a note. “After a string of success, it seems the easy part of the turnaround may be over,” the analyst wrote. “We view higher valuation, lower revenue/EPS estimates, increasing competition (in core and non-core markets), and distant IFS revenue all contributing to a tough road ahead,” he added. Wedbush On Intel Analyst Matt Bryson reaffirmed a Neutral rating while reducing the price target from $45 to $40. Although Intel reported strong fourth-quarter results, its first-quarter guidance came in significantly short of expectations, Bryson

Intel Gives Muted Outlook Even as PC Recovery Lifts Sales

By Asa Fitch Intel gave a tepid outlook for sales in its current quarter, signaling further challenges for its business amid signs that the PC market is starting to recover. The company said sales were $15.4 billion for the fourth quarter, up from $14 billion a year before. Intel also made $2.7 billion of profit, reversing a loss in the year-ago period. For its current quarter, Intel forecast between $12.2 billion and $13.2 billion of sales, higher than the same period last year but behind Wall Street expectations in a survey of analysts by FactSet. Chief Executive Pat Gelsinger said the outlook was affected by factors including a rocky market for a programmable-chip unit that Intel is aiming to IPO and weaker-than-anticipated sales for Mobileye Global, an autonomous driving tech company in which Intel owns a majority stake. Mobileye, which went public in 2022, made $637 million of sales for
